After completing his orthopaedic surgical training in 2012, Dr Brown was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in Orthopaedic Surgery. He then moved to Edinburgh, Scotland to gain post-graduate experience in hip and knee surgery at the world renowned Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
After completing his fellowship training Dr Brown returned to the Gold Coast. He practices in both the public and private sector. He is employed as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Gold Coast University Hospital and works privately at Gold Coast Private Hospital and Pindara Private Hospital. He is actively involved in the training of junior medical staff, nursing staff, and medical students, including being a former director of Training for the Australia Orthopaedic Associaton.
